I had to remove it for him - which was a little harder than I thought it would be. Websites that had forms on them that he uses for work all the time would not work correctly in IE 7 - and even using the DHL website to create a shipping label would not work with IE7. But you are right - most people just download the upgrades and don't really think all that much about it. I was having trouble with even IE 6, and switched to Firefox and I'm much happier.
